The Green House: New Directions in Sustainable Architecture and Design - Kress Gallery
This ground-breaking exhibition explores the dynamic field of green residential design as it reaches a turning point of international acceptance by both home builders and the general public. "The Green House: New Directions in Sustainable Architecture and Design" explores exciting trends in green technology, materials and design while probing such key questions as: What makes a house green? Is a green house healthier, safer and more comfortable? Is it aesthetically appealing?

Featuring 11 models, drawings and photographs of 21 contemporary residences, the exhibition highlights outstanding examples of sustainable and aesthetically compelling designs geared toward specific locales such as city, suburb, waterside, mountainside, tropics, desert and a residence that would work in any locale. In these examples, cutting-edge architects and builders around the world have applied green principles to the design and construction of homes that demonstrate the emerging and dynamic collaboration between stylish architecture, interior design and environmental responsibility.

Lehigh Valley Going Green
- Rodale Gallery
In the last two decades, the concepts of “green” and “sustainability” have gained importance in everyday life and are being explored in a variety of innovative ways by architects and builders nationally and internationally. This exhibition, prepared with the assistance of Artefact, Inc., a local company that focuses on sustainable planning and design, highlights two dozen projects developed by various companies, architects and builders in the Lehigh Valley, projects either now underway or recently completed. The exhibition showcases how these projects are using the ideas of sustainability to create buildings that will provide elegant and efficient living and work spaces that conform to green principles and the concept of environmental concern.
