One year after graduating from The Tyler School of Art Jeff Frederick took it upon himself to transform his storefront apartment into his own fine art gallery. Bored with Philadelphia's artistic conservativeness Mr. Frederick wanted to create a space where he could display only the newest and freshest contemporary art without restrictions. Since the gallery's opening there has already been a number of shows with increasing popularity. These shows are a combination of art, music, food, and drink creating an atmosphere that practically anyone can enjoy. The Spot Gallery is quickly becoming the central nerve of the new artistic community in East Oak Lane. |
