The Schuylkill Gallery is pleased to announce the beginning of an annual group exhibition to feature African American emerging artists. It is the gallery’s goal to grow this exhibition each year in order to create a venue that accurately represents the next generation of Black artists. This recurring exhibition is in keeping with the Schuylkill Gallery’s overall mission of providing a means for emerging fine artists to display their work and advance their careers.
During the month of February, Schuylkill Gallery will exhibit student and young emerging African American Artists’ works. Participating artists include: Corey Armpriester, photography; Jessica Jackson, recent graduate of Moore College of Art, crafted accessories; Ophelia Chambliss of Penn State University, oil paintings; Cullen Washington of Tufts University, etchings and mixed media; Gerold Mooney, University of the Arts, paintings.

About the Gallery
The Schuylkill Gallery at Sherman Mills in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia is pleased to present a Landscape Works Group Show featuring the art of seven local artists. Participating artist are: Danielle Callahan Bob Harrington Dolores Bauerle Campbell Ed Letven Helene Halstuch Barbara B. Rosin Deborah K. Simon The exhibition is curated by, Schuylkill Gallery Founder, Jocelyn Upshur-Greenberg. This diverse group of local artist will feature landscape paintings and drawings in various mediums. Also, featured is a landscape installation by Danielle Callahan, which by arranging tree bark textured tiles will create a landscape horizon. |
