Streets of Philadelphia: Photography
1970-1985
Streets of Philadelphia brings together the work of over twenty photographers who captured the city during a complex and tumultuous time. Despite the turmoil and hardships during this era, it was also a period of intense creativity in the city, with Philadelphia emerging as a contemporary photographic center. Among the many exhibiting artists are: James B. Abbott, Robert Asman, Jack Carnell, Paul Cava, Harvey Finkle, David Graham, Nancy Hellebrand, Charles Isaacs, Julie Jensen Bryan, George Krause, Paul McGuirk, Ray Metzker, Thomas Porett, Rosemary Ranck, Paul Runyon, Stephen Shore and William Earle Williams.

Emerging Philadelphia photographer, Nadine Rovner, will show a new series of portraits and interiors, which pay a great debt to 1970s street photography. |
