About the Exhibition
Opening reception: Second Thursday, October 14, 6 - 9 pm
Pinhole Dreams is a collection of works by artists
who use pinhole photography to challenge preconceptions of
"ordinary life" and to help us us to see the world
in a new light.
While some of the photographs in this exhibition take on surreal
qualities through the use of image layering, others take advantage
of the camera's extraordinary depth of field and wide angles
to record people and places in ways that are unusual or uncommon.
Other artists use long exposures (days to weeks long) to create
other-worldly images that track the progression of the sun
in the sky while erasing the appearance day to day trivia
like people and cars.
Artists: John
Fobes, Jeff Holder, Chris
Macan, Scott McMahon, Chris Peregoy, and Scott Speck.
