About the Exhibition

Second Thursday reception: March 8, 6 – 9 pm

Newton's First Law: Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.

In the spirit of change, growth, evolution, and moving forward, Nexus Foundation for Today's Art is pleased to announce Newton's First Law, a group exhibition representing the entire membership. The second show at Nexus' new exhibition space in the Crane Arts Building, this theme speaks to the excitement of moving forward and continuing to build their gallery, their membership, their community, and their audience.

Several mediums are represented in this diverse show and every aspect of Nexus' new space including 13 foot ceilings, exposed beams, towering windows, and custom reception area is being considered and utilized with the installation of this new exhibit.

In a show that encompasses video art, electronics, sewing, drawing, printmaking, photography, installation art, and sculpture, Newton's First Law is uniquely constructed continuing Nexus' mission of presenting the public with innovative, challenging, diverse, and compelling experimental art.
