About The Exhibit
Initiated by the Susquehanna Art Museum,
Let's Get to Work is a high-energy, cross-cultural project involving
28 contemporary artists and two artist/curators from the United
States (Jonathan Van Dyke) and the United Kingdom (Gavin Wade).
As a collective, this group will contribute objects, plans,
writings, ideas, and new media works to a series of four evolving
sites across the United States.
The artists include Kathrin Bohm + Stefan
Saffer(The two artists work separately and by collaboration
and are based in London and Berlin), Aaron Brode (Los Angeles),
Steven Brower (New York), Cornford & Cross (Britain), Ian
Dawson (London), Jeremy Deadman (London), John Wood and Paul
Harrison ( both based in England), Oliver Herring (New York),
Nina Katchadourian (New York), Matthew Keough (Brooklyn, NY),
Atelier van Leishout (Rotterdam) Graham Little (London), Mark
Lombardi (deceased , New York), Danica Phelps (New York), Philip
Ross (San Francisco), Albrecht Shafer (Berlin), Alyson Shotz
(New York), Polly Staple (London), Simon Starling (Glasgow,
Scotland), Julianne Swartz (New York), Sarah Sze (New York),
Austin Thomas (New York), Keith Wilson (London) Richard Woods
(London), and Elizabeth Wright (London).
Let's Get to Work will promote innovative
ways of thinking, creating, and interacting our public and private
spaces, the act of working, and the nature of human relationships
in the context of our built environment. The artists involved
in Let's Get to Work will create challenging interactive works
as a template for a new city, a place for discovery and discussion.
