About the Exhibition

Opening reception: Friday, February 8, 6 - 8 pm

Visual artist Michael B. Schwartz presents a multi-site installation entitled Gaia that interrogates Global Climate Change. The general public is invited to join the artist for a multidisciplinary opening, featuring live soundscapes by the acclaimed musician Bill Fieger and a performance by the extraordinary Jodi Netzer, both of whom will explore the theme of Gaia and the Climate Crisis.

Gaia is a multimedia installation extravaganza exploring the intersections between deep ecology, the art industrial complex and the ruination of the natural world. This exhibition examines the profound impact of environmental degradation on the human psyche. Artist Michael Schwartz, well known for his community-based participatory artworks, launches into a new realm of materials and philosophies in this groundbreaking new exhibition.
