About the Exhibition
Opening reception: Second Thursday, April 9, 6 - 9 pm

Lines is the curatorial debut of Anthony Vega, the new director of UD@Crane Gallery. "For this initial show of the season, in thinking of the University of Delaware Alumni who live in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New York one thinks of the lines, imaginary and literal, that separate and connect us; the lines of a map, the roads that connect us, the lineage of our histories and experiences," says Vega. "The notion of the line is a window into our visual language that divides, unites, dictates and questions our experiences and relationships to the world. All of the work in this show explores the sensual, descriptive and pervasiveness of 'line' through the lens of 7 University of Delaware Alumni, from the gestural and expressive, to the narrative and descriptive."

Lines features the work of Donna Czapiga, Francine Fox, Amanda Kamen, Jon Manteau, Pilar Perez, Stephen Ruszowski, and Carlos Yepes.
