About the Exhibit
Opening reception: First Friday, April 2, 6 - 9 pm
As part of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic
Arts, Main Line Art Center will present a juried exhibition
of artists working with ceramics from PA, NJ, DE, DC, MD,
and NY. Ceramic work can include sculpture, installations,
mixed media, and new technologies. This exhibition promotes
the idea of pushing boundaries and expectations for working
with clay. This show is one of over 90 exhibitions that are
part of INDEPENDENCE: The 44th Annual NCECA (National Council
on Education for the Ceramic Arts) conference taking place
in Philadelphia from March 31 through April 3, 2010 hosted
by The Clay Studio.

A primary resource for visual arts enrichment and learning, the Main Line Art Center supports the development of artists and the growth of audiences for the arts. Classes, workshops, exhibitions, lectures, trips and outreach programs reach over 7,000 students and enthusiastic art viewers each year.
