About the Exhibition

Opening reception: February 3, 1 - 4 pm

In February, Da Vinci Art Alliance hosts City Shapes and Colors, a very personal exhibition of local scenes by award-winning members Lilliana Didovic and Ken Tutjamnong. What makes this show especially noteworthy is that both artists are immigrants to the United States (Didovic from Sarajevo, Tutjamnong from Bangkok), and the love they share for their adopted city is evident in their art. In these troubled times, it is refreshing to see our country through the eyes of artists who have come here for a new and better life, and for whom the US has truly been the land of opportunity and Philadelphia the City of Brotherly Love.

About the Gallery
Da Vinci Art Alliance was founded in 1931 by a group of Italian-American artists and artisans in South Philadelphia to serve the needs of artists and artisans in the Delaware Valley Region. The mission of the 100 member non-profit organization is to support its members’ creativity and further community-based artistic, cultural, and educational exchange. The Da Vinci Art Alliance is self-supporting through membership dues and gallery rentals; it presents exhibitions by both members and non-members as well as special events, lectures, and workshops.
