| Dynamics
of Color relationships are contained in a minimal format. Excess and sentiment
are reduced to essential compositions of structure and placement. Surfaces
resonate with spirit and light, in the American Luminist tradition of classical,
minimalist order. The paint is gouache, often worked in layers and glazes and left flat in selected areas. Lines are incised with a burner and filled with colored pencil and graphite. Paper is heavy hand made Punjab or Arche. |
