Statement
Discrimination is a disease that exists in many forms which is sometimes
overlooked and not taken in a serious enough manner. The focus that
I have directed my piece toward is the solitude that a person who
is sick and dying is experiencing.
Many people who not feeling the mental and physical trauma that
could be going on often flee during these circumstances. I have
seen this occurrence happen to two people that were very close to
me. I was one of the few that did not leave them to go it alone
as they neared death. In staying I saw that people easily fade out
when times are difficult. When these two women were healthy they
would shine and I always admired that about them. The sparkle that
lured me into their lives initially is what kept me there through
their struggle.
