Collab is a collaboration of design professionals supporting the Modern and Contemporary Design Collection at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

A nonprofit organization founded in 1970, Collab raises funds to enrich the Museum's Modern and Contemporary decorative arts collection, which now includes over 1,000 objects. The collection ranges from appliances to furniture, ceramics, glass, and lighting, and includes both hand-crafted and mass-produced designs.

Collab promotes a better public understanding and appreciation of contemporary design through its educational initiatives, including sponsorship of exhibitions, symposia, lectures, tours, and a citywide, college-level student design competition.

Each year Collab presents its prestigious Design Excellence Award to a design professional who has made a significant contribution to the field.  Past honorees include Florence Knoll Bassett, Richard Gluckman, Ingo Maurer, Milton Glaser, Karim Rashid, Maya Lin, Jonathan Ive, Philippe Starck with Ian Schrager, Richard Meier, Michael Graves, Robert Venturi, and George Nakashima. This event also functions as Collab's main annual fundraiser.
