Curated by Colette Copeland, Death Bizarre features seven photographic and video
artists, whose work examines people, places and objects associated
with death from a conceptual and metaphorical perspective.
The artists utilize the theme of death as a catalyst to demystify
human experience and the fascination with human mortality.
Andrea
Pickens, Lauren
Simonutti, Bradley Blackway, and Brian
Moss’ photographs challenge notions of truth,
authenticity and the construction of history.
Talia
Greene’s photographs, Anita
Allyn's and Colette
Copeland’s videos investigate the relationship
between the natural world, science and the human body. Together
the works on view evoke a vivid glance into human existence
and the symbiotic relationship between the body and its place
in nature and culture
