Inbal Abergil,
born in 1976, began her photography career while in the military serving
as a photographer
in the Air Force. Graduating Hadassah College in 2001, she landed a
job with world-renowned photographer Nelli Sheffer. Early next year,
she will have her first solo exhibition at a Tel Aviv gallery.
About
her work:
“In this project I am trying to offer a different movie watching
experience through still photographs taken from a film during its projection
in the movie theater.” By capturing and freezing unseen moments
from the continuous flow of the movie, those instant stills turn into
a collection of almost abstract images not related to their original
meaning that can be reassembled within a different context.
