The Print Center Series: a continuing education opportunity for artists, art professionals, and the community to learn about new and ever-changing technologies, materials, and conservation techniques in printmaking and photography.

Critique & Conversation is a unique opportunity for artists to Bring Your Work for an informal critique and to meet other artists. Each meeting is led by a different art professional (artist, critic, curator). Advanced registration is necessary.

GALLERY TALKS & WORKSHOPS

The Print Center Series focuses on the work currently being shown in the Print Center Gallery through gallery talks and workshops. Led by the exhibiting artists, the gallery talks give a personal perspective to the works on view, and artist run workshops give hands-on education about the artists' creative and technical processes.

Panel discussion:
How to Present and Promote your Artwork
This panel of professionals will provide artists with legal advice, information on how to present their work to dealers, curators, and collectors. Also hear from an art critic and curator on what critics look for in artists' work, how to approach them and how to attract their attention.

Panelists: Bridgette Mayer, Bridgette Mayer Gallery; Yana Balson, Executive Director, Vox Populi; a representative from Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts; Susan Hagen, art critic and artist.
Moderated by Jacqueline van Rhyn, Curator, The Print Center.


Participation fee: $5 members; $10 non-members. Advance registration required.
