Sarah Stolfa

The Elk’s Lodge, New Haven, CT, archival pigment print, edition of 25
$800

Philadelphian Sarah Stolfa has recently been the subject of considerable recognition in the national media for a book, The Regulars, on her portrait series of the regular patrons at McGlinchey’s Bar, a series she completed in college and which was the winner of the New York Times Photography Contest for College Students in 2004. Her work has been seen in the New York Times Magazine and The New Yorker, among many other publications. She earned her BS in Photography from Drexel University and her MFA in Photography from Yale University. Stolfa is represented by 339 Gallery.

The Dufala Brothers

Single Family Topiary Home, archival pigment print, edition of 25
$1000

Artists, collaborators, and brothers Steven and Billy Blaise Dufala create work together as the Dufala Brothers. In 2008 they were chosen as winners of the prestigious West Collection Prize and prior to that were selected for a Wind Challenge Exhibition at the Fleisher Art Memorial in 2007. Steven was a founding member of the experimental, performative band, Man Man, in which Billy currently plays flute and saxophone. The Dufala Brothers are alumni of Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and are currently represented by Fleisher Ollman Gallery, where they recently had a solo exhibition.

Hiro Sakaguchi

Wind Flower and Farewell, archival pigment print, edition of 25
$500

Hiro Sakaguchi makes autobiographical work based on his bi-cultural experiences as a modern-day Japanese émigré in the United States. Drawing on his everyday experiences in Philadelphia and on a rich reserve of memories of his native Nagano, Sakaguchi infuses his often delicate, emotionally charged drawings, watercolors and acrylics with nostalgia and longing. He holds a BFA from the University of the Arts (1993) and an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (1996), where he is currently an adjunct faculty member. Sakaguchi is represented by Seraphin Gallery in Philadelphia, where he currently has a solo exhibition.

Leslie Mutchler

Section B4 of Untitled (Manufactured Utopia III: High Density Housing), archival pigment print, edition of 25
$300
Leslie Mutchler’s multidisciplinary work -- inspired by the glossy “lifestyle” catalogues that promise to deliver a more perfect and organized existence to the paying customer -- challenges the consumer culture’s expectations of accumulation, minimization, order and disorder. Mutchler’s work has been exhibited on a national level in numerous solo and group exhibitions. She earned her BFA from Kent State University in Kent, OH and an MFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Elkins Park, PA. Currently, Mutchler is Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin.
