Artist Statement
Choosing, for the first time, to work in two dimensions and in manageable scale this group is based on a mundane object. Inspired by cotton pot holders that young children weave for their moms, this series, like life, is a bit more complicated. Subtle or bold combinations or contrasts for colors and textures reflect the complexities and simplicities of our lives. This simple concept presents countless possibilites and these assemblages adapt well to larger commercial installations.

Artist Statement
I had begun with photography as a support for other mediums but soon realized that I could use this art form to capture moments that need not be interpreted in another medium. Here is an eclectic collection of images that never cease to inspire me. Be it form, color, or atmosphere I attempt to capture what I see. Each of us has a selective eye and memory and our work mirrors our world. Our photographs offer a window into our lives and minds and creative expression.

Making work is not a choice, I have no more control over it than I do of breathing. It's a way of life and I need to share.
