Artists Statement
These works are from my ongoing research of my identity and feminine aesthetics. I use thread as mark making device and as reference to memory, both personal and universal.
I stitch on tarlatan, fabric and rice paper to make drawing of women and personal symbols. My art is a peal from my life.
These transfigured images of women and her symbols are
reflection of my childhood experience in Korea and my womanhood experience in USA. |
