Artist Statement
Comics’ unique format presents me with an opportunity to tell stories and explore ideas that I do not believe I could depict through other media. Creating a narrative through a sequence that combines words and pictures allows me to convey information -- at times complex and paradoxical -- with clarity and within a minimum amount of space.

My comics range in both themes and formats. I attempt to experiment with page size, page/panel layout, and presentation with both the narrative works and the comic strips. My work is created in pen and ink, watercolor, and gouache. Works created from 2005 to the present are hand-lettered.
