Artist Statement
With various media, I create works that address human and environmental themes of imbalance and regained equilibrium. Recently, I completed, Arroyo as Metaphor, an erosion abatement project on site in New Mexico.

The Jellies are a celebration of the luminous beauty and of the strength of ultimate endurance of this species. The Eight Brocades fiber pieces are inspired by an ancient Chinese healing exercise believed to restore the body’s vital energy and balance. Acid Rain and the The Scent of Plumeria tree paintings are very personal landscapes about loss and the restorative effect of beauty. The Sound of the Sea, and the Sea, My Bones lithographs reflect my emotional engagement with raging seas and vanishing corals. A Small Pink Hope, Sacrament and Elegy are also available as archival giclee prints, Limited edition of 5 for each image.
