Artist Biography
Born in 1950’s Trenton, New Jersey and raised in the post-war Levittown’s, Caire graduated from Tyler School of Art where she developed her conceptual “eye” and passion for expanding the expected properties of her medium.

Part storyteller, builder of worlds, humorist, illustrator and photographer, Caire continues to push the potential of photography past two dimensions.

Caire’s work was recently exhibited at the Woodmere Museum’s Triennial Photography Show. She is a Pew Finalist for “Works on Paper” and earned a Fellowship from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts as well as a Leeway Foundation Window of Opportunity Grant. She was the featured artist in Camera Arts Magazine in October 2002 and her solo show “Plastic Genome Project” was highlighted by The New Yorker Magazine.

According to Caire, “I am inspired by the artificially created community that was defined by sameness, a plastic culture and an absence of nature. I recycle objects and ideas to create alternative realities in miniature.
