Vivants,the erotic encore to
first book Obsessions, we are taken through an elaborate
series of "living pictures" in Wards bold and provocative
style. These lavishly constructed scenes pull the viewer into
a fantasy-meets-reality dreamworld where the perception of the
taboo is turned on its head.
Witty, ironic, irreverent, sly or outrageous,
these grandly staged settings are expansive, luxuriantly indulgent
scenes of erotica.
With his cleverly satirical nods to social, religious, cultural
and historical idea's and icons, these works create a montage
of audacious living tableaux.
